The Others - Snoopy

Most know him as Charlie Brown's pet beagle and while Snoopy indeed started out as your average dog, he soon evolved into one of the comic strips most memorable and lovable characters. As the series progressed Snoppy became more human-like. His most famous alter-ego is as the World War I "Flying Ace" and with his sunglasses on he became "Joe Cool". He plays tennis and is part of Charlie Brown's Little League team as well. And Snoopy's also quite adept to the accordion and even has his own little dance, known as The Beagle.

But that's not all.

Did you know that his dog house also houses a library? Or that one of Snoopy's hobbies is reading Leo Tolstoy's epic novel War and Peace at the rate of "a word a day"?

And he also started a career as a writer. Many of the Peanuts' memorable moments come in Snoopy's efforts as a novelist ...

Unfortunately almost all his submissions are rejected by potential publishers, who eventually resort to rude dismissals and cruel jokes in an attempt to prevent being bothered by Snoopy.

Here's to all those underestimated beagle writers in the world!

  1. Love it! :) My beagle writers thank you. :) I liked Snoopy, but after having beagles, I get the humor so much more.
